Visual Rhetoric

This was put out by the US Smokeless Tobacco Company in order to advertise the oldest maker of smokeless tobacco, Copenhagen. The audience of this advertisement is most likely the average working man, and men who tend to hold labor based jobs outside. The pathos is the reference in the advertisement about Copenhagen being "Legendary" and around since 1822. The logos is just to encourage the reader that it is ok to use the product and it is well proven to be satisfactory since it has been around for so long. The ethos is calm and focuses on the satisfaction and age of Copenhagen. It also uses the image of a cowboy along with the "Legendary" description of the product.
